Awami Muslim League (AML) leader MNA Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday submitted an adjourned gesture in the National Assembly secretariat on revelations by the Panama Papers.
It was mentioned in the motion that the issue of Panama Papers should be taken up in the national assembly as the second episode of the mega scandal intensified the issue. He said that over 400 names are mentioned in the second list of Panama Leaks and it is a grave national issue that might be a threat to democracy.
There should be transparent investigations into the matter of Panama Leaks revelation if we want to save the democracy. He further said that only Army Chief and Chief Justice can save democracy and opposition can’t retreat from its basic stance.
